Mulnayak: Nearly 177 cms. high, white-colored idol of
Bhagawan Amizara Parshvanath in the Padmasana posture.
Tirth: It is on the sea-shore near the Gandhar village.
Historicity: Here was an ancient temple of the Middles ages. In
those days, there were many Jain temples here. The inscriptions on the idol installed here
reveal that looking to the possibility of religious impact and religious activities,
Vijaysensurisvarji with his vast group of disciples, came here on the invitation of King
Akbar and the idol was perhaps installed on the tenth day of the bright half of the month
of Magh in the year 1664 of the Vikram era.
Other Temples: In the compound, there is a temple of Mahavir Swami and there are three
other temples.
Works of art and Sculpture: The scene of this place in the forest and on the
sea-shore is very beautiful and delightful. On glass, there are fine paintings of the
sacred places of Shetrunjay, Girnar, Sametshikhar and Gandhar. The idol is beautiful and
awe-inspiring, Acharyadev Shri Vijayramchandrasurisvarji took diksha in this sacred place
of Gandhar in the year 1969 of the Vikram era.
Guidelines: This temple is at a distance of 13 kilometers from
Kavi on the Bharuch-Kavi road. Bus service and service of private vehicles are there.
There is also an upashraya.
