Mulnayak: Nearly 364 cms. high, black-colored idol of
Bhagawan Shantinath in the Kayotsarga posture.
Tirth: It is in the Bhopar village on the bank of the
river Mahi.
Historicity: The ancient name of this village was Bhojkut Nagar.
It is believed that the very ancient idol of Bhagawan Shantinath belongs to the times of
Bhagawan Neminath. This tirth was renovated many times. It is believed that the old temple
lies buried in the hollow of the ground, in the compound of this temple. Bhils of this
region come with faith and devotion to sing the songs of God. Bhagawan Shantinath is known
as ‘Kala Baba’ or ‘Bamanadev’. Various miracles happen in this tirth.
On one occasion, the nectar continuously oozed out of God’s idol and looked like
saffron-coloured milk at the feet of God. Many fortunate devotees took the benefit of this
splendid and holy sight.
Other Temples: Besides this, there are no other temples.
Works of art and Sculpture: The work of glass and of enamel-painting is very
beautiful and artistic. The skilled artistics have no place in the temple which is not
adorned by artistry. This is really noteworthy and worth seeing.
Guidelines: The nearest railway station of Indore is at a
distance of 8 kilometers, the nearest town of dhar is at a distance of 35 kilometers and
Sardarpur is at a distance of 5 kilometers. Bus service and private vehicles are
available. There are boarding and lodging provisions near the temple.
