Mulnayak:
Nearly 25 cms. long
black-colored foot-idols of Ganadhar Gautam Swami.
Tirth: It is in the Kundalpur village at a distance of 3
kilometers from Nalanda.
Historicity: In ancient times, Nalanda and Kundalpur were
suburbs of Rajgiri. Indrabhuti, Agnibhuti and Vayubhuti were among Ganadhars of Bhagawan
Mahavir. They were three brothers born at this place. Nalanda was a great center Buddhist
studies. There was a University, too. Bhagawan Mahavir happened to meet Goshalak here. In
various ancient lists of tirths, there is a clear mention that there were many temples
here. This was the birth location of three of the eleven of Gandhars of Bhagawan Mahavir.
Several visits of Bhagawan Mahavir to this place and Bhagawan Mahavirs preaching
have made this place very important and distinct.

Other Temples: Besides this, there is at present a Digambar temple.
Works of art and Sculpture: The ancient idol of this splendid temple is very
artistic, beautiful, indescribable and spectacular. Besides, the idols, pillars etc. in
the Nalanda university and the samgrahalaya are sighty.
Guidelines: The nearest railway station of Nalanda is at a
distance of 3 kilometers, Rajgruhi is at a distance of 9 kilometers and Pavapuri is at a
distance of 21 kilometers from the temple. Bus service and private vehicles are available.
Board and lodging provisions are there near the temple.
