Shri Mannargudi Tirth

Mulnayak: Copper - colored idol of Bhagawan Mallinath in the semi - Padmasana posture.
       

Tirth: It is in the Mannargudi village.
         
Historicity: It is believed that this ancient temple was built during the reign of the Chawl dynasty in the twelfth century. It is famous among ancient tirths of Tamilandu. The idols of Dharmadevi, Saraswatcdevi, Padmavatidevi, Jawalamalini and others in the temple are very miraculous and impressive. Brahamotsava is arranged here every year on the tenth day of the bright half of the month of Vaishakh.

Other Temples: At present, there are no other temples.

Works of art and Sculpture: This ancient idol of Bhagawan is very distinct. It is the best specimen of artistic workmanship.
          
Guidelines: The nearest railway station of Nidamangalam is at a distance of 12 kilometers and Tanjor is at a distance of 34 kilometers. Bus service and private vehicles are available. Board and lodging provisions are there.
