Tirth: It
is at the foot of the hills in the center of the lake outside the village of Varang.
Historicity: This temple is known as Jalmandir of southern regions. In the year 1711
of the Yikra era, Muni Shilvijay came here on a pilgrimage. In the past, this was a rich
and prosperous city. On the hills here, there were sixty temples. This is an ancient tirth
in Karnatak. At present, hundreds of people come here on Fridays for worship. They get
absorbed in worship in order to fulfill their wishes.

Other Temples: At present, besides Jalmandir, there are two other temples.
Works of art and Sculpture: Like the peaks of temples in Nepal, the peak of
this temple is built in a special style. In the midst of natural beauty and peace, this
tirth presents beautiful specimens of works of art.
Guidelines: The nearest railway station of Karkal is at a
distance of 16 kilometers and Mangalore is at a distance of 68 meters. Bus service and
private vehicles are available. Board and lodging provisions are there.
