Historicity: This is a very ancient Tirth. Delighted with the worship of Hemchandracharya, Saraswatidevi is made direct appearance in the temple. On some metal idols, there are inscriptions of the eleventh and the thirteenth centuries. The workmanship of the idol shows that it is very ancient. All the fifty-two idols of this temple seem to belong to the times of King Samprati. In the temple, there are also beautiful idols of some Acharyas, too. Here the idol of Saraswatidevi is very beautiful and miraculous. This goddess makes idol miracles even today. Jains as well as non-Jains come here and have their wishes fulfilled. This tirtha belongs to the Nani Marwad group of five tirths. This is the birth-place of the great poet Kalidas.

Other Temples: At present, there is no other temple.

Works of art and Sculpture: The craftsmanship of the fifty two temples is very delightful. All the idols are beautiful and fascinating. The idol of the Saraswatidevi is very ancient and awe-inpiring . It is difficult to see it elsewhere.
